The fight against bhang will continue say Kisii central OCP, Mr. Francis Nguli has said as more bhang worth Ksh 1 million has been impounded.
Speaking to Gusii star, Nguli said that in the last two months, his officers have managed to arrest several suspects and seized bang worth millions of shillings within Kisii county.
This comes after police in Kisii town on Thursday impounded bhang worth Sh 1 million and arrested three suspects in connection with the illegal consignment that was destined to Nairobi.
He also told Journalists that the bhang was seized from a bus which was from Migori to Nairobi and Suspects who are the bus operators nabbed for further questioning.
Mr. Nguli noted that the police acted on a tip off before raiding the bus suspected of carrying the haul.
He said the rolls impounded on Thursday were compressed in small plastic paper bags a difference from the way they had been doing before showing how the drug dealers have changed tactics of packing it.
He warned that Whether the drug dealers change tactics or not they will be dealt with ruthlessly with the full force of law.
Early this week Cabinet secretary for interior Fred Matiang’i said that the police are not going to relax in the fight against the bhang.
Matiang’i noted that Kisii town has been the routes where the drug dealers use in transportation and called the police to strengthen measures on ensuring this comes to an end.
