39 candidates fail to sit for their KCSE exams in Nyamira

Thirty nine Candidates in Nyamira County failed to turn up for this year’s Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (K.C.S.E) that begun Monday November 5th.

The candidates who have been reported absent consist of 25 male and 14 female students.

According to sources, efforts by teachers and parents of the students to ensure they are back to school to sit for the examinations bore no fruit.

It’s said male candidates had opted to go for bodaboda riding business while their female counterparts decided to marry off.

Nyamira south sub county leads with 11 cases, followed by Masaba North and Borabu who has 10 respectively, Nyamira North has 6, Manga 2 all spread across both boarding and day secondary schools.
