More than 100 exhibitors have confirmed their participation in this years’ Agricultural society of Kenya (ASK) Show, South Nyanza branch, Kisii County.
The trade fair which will open its gates on 11 July and close on 14 July at Gusii stadium and Erera Golf playing ground is expected to attract large number of people from all parts of the country. This year’s theme ‘Promoting Innovation and Technology in Agriculture and Trade’ remains the same as last year’s as the region remains dedicated to enhancing agribusiness.
Addressing the media at the show ground, branch chairman, Julius Bosire said the number of the exhibitors have increased compared with the last year to showcase their products and services.
“The Exhibitors are ranging from banking, learning and industrial institutions will exhibit under the theme promoting innovation and technology in agriculture and trade.
Bosire said they are prepared for insightful learning, knowledgeable experience and technological advancement in the agricultural field.
Over 100 exhibitors were expected this year and already, 60 per cent have confirmed participation including Department of Agriculture, KTDA, Kenya seed company, Kisii university, National government-CDF, Lake Basin Development, JKUAT, Gusii waters and sanitation company, KEMFRI, Kenya Power, Equity bank, and Mount Kenya University.
“Interested new exhibitors who include Kisii fm, Stima and Mwalimu saccos, One acre fund, KMTC, AMREF among others, making the turn out to be higher by 10 per cent compared to last year’s at this point of preparation,” said Bosire
He remained optimistic for the gate pass collections of which Ksh 150 for children and Ksh 200 bob for adults as special part will be charged Ksh 150 for adult and ksh 100 for child.
