St Ann’s College was established in the year 2000 as a tertiary higher learning institution. The college is accredited by Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology to offer Certificate and Diploma courses.
It offers full time and part time mode of learning. The courses offered at St Ann’s include Computer Studies, Information Technology, Computer programming among others. Kenya National Examination Centre (KNEC) is the examination body for all coursed offered at the College.
The college has main Campus in Kisii town and branches in Nyamira, Ogembo, Marani, Nyacheki, Suneka,Keroka, Nyakoe, Borabu, Nyamache and Kiamokama.
St. Paul’s University on Friday 22nd March, 2013, signed an agreement with St. Ann’s College, Kisii to offer two degree courses at the College. The two degree programs to be taught at the Kisii based college are Bachelor of
Business and Information Technology (BBIT) and Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA).
SPU has been collaborating with the college to offer various diploma programs and this cooperation will continue over the years.
“This initiative is in line with the university’s objective of making education easily accessible for people at the grassroots,” said Vice Chancellor Prof Joseph Galgalo during the signing.
“We are glad to advance our collaboration through this new initiative” said Mr. Obago the Director of St. Ann’s College.
Also present during the agreement were DVC-Academics Prof. Esther Mombo, Senior Finance Officer, Mr. Wallace Njau, Dean of Business and ICT Daniel Aswani and the Public Relations and Marketing Officer, Mr. Anthony Kagiri.
