Kisii county Governor James Ongwae has said he has set measures to ensure that Kisii residents get better health services close to them.
Addressing residents of Kitutu central ward at Kiamwasi Governor Ongwae said that he is focused to ensure that residents get better services by equipping health facilities across the county.
“My government is committed to ensure affordable and accessible Universal Health care for all as a way of enhancing the President Uhuru’s agenda of better health care.
This will be achievable as am gearing to the operationalization of Kiamwasi Dispensary, Getembe and Mwamogesa Dispensary which will enable area residents who initially had to travel to KTRH and Oresi Health center to access basic health services nearby” noted Governor Ongwae.
The Governor also laid the foundation stone for the
construction of a maternity wing and newborn unit at the facility which is
funded by World bank .
At the same time he noted that the County government is also facilitating the establishment of a Vocational Training Centre and a Rehabilitation Centre for people effected by drug abuse at Kiamwasi in Kitutu Central ward.
About what scarcity which is the main factor that affecting people in
many years he said that they will establish a reliable water supply scheme
to the residents.
