Kisii county   County commissioner Stephen Kihara has advised Security team  more so in Village lever to continue enforcing the guidelines  put in place in the fight  against COVID 19.

 According to  County commissions he said that since the problem started all people have been observant but they have realized that people have changed lifestyles,changing ways of operation.

 He has therefore given directives to the chiefs to ensure that people in the village follow the guidelines more so during funerals where only 15 people are allowed to attend,


” The guidelines are clear regardless of our custom , we agreed we can not have more than 15  people and let it be clear to out team since they are the ones who issue burial permits, let us ensure that we follow the guidelines from the ministry” Said CC Kihara 

At the same he said that as the  National Government and County government they are ensuring that the elders who always accompany chiefs are given  masks
 ” We will continue going to the village since this is the team  that is assisting us and they have been giving us good support” he said 

Mr Kihara also said that they have been working well with surveillance team who has been monitoring


He challenged residents to be vigilant and report any cases  through surveillance team . About Hotels  and restaurant he called the to ensure to a bid by guidelines,
