Equity Bank delivers Kshs.287M PPEs in the fight against Covid across the country .

Equity Bank Group has on Tuesday delivered part of the Kshs.287 million worth of  Personal Protective Equipment [PPEs] consignment to be given to the frontline healthcare workers across the Country.
Presenting the cargo to the healthcare workers in Nyamira today, Equity Holdings’ Chief Commercial officer and former Nairobi County Deputy Governor, Polycarp Igathe  said that the Bank was determined to be part of the war against COVID19 for the next two years and until the country is declared free of the pandemic.
68 healthcare facilities are set to benefit from the first phase of the group’s (Equty Bank) donations.
“Today am here on behalf of the Equity Group to bring our donations of PPEs to the frontline healthcare workers in Nyamira. 

This is part of the Ksh. 287 Million in the first phase to 68 health facilities across the nation.
Our Bank is here with us for the next 24 months and until when the virus has completely been managed”, said Igathe.
Igathe noted that another consignment of locally manufactured PPEs worth Kshs.400 Million is being purchased to be supplied to all health facilities in the country.
Igathe urged residents to keep observing the government directives on th
e control of the novel Corona virus as Nyamira spread far records five positive cases.
Equity Groups CEO Dr. James Mwangi is the head of the National COVID19 response team than sits in Nairobi.
