Head teacher in court for defilement offence

A head teacher accused of defiling a 15 year old school girl in Kisii has been released on a Sh100,000 bond.

Innocent Ogega Obare was arraigned in Ogembo Law Courts where he was charged with defilement contrary to section 8(1) (3) of the sexual offence act number 3 of the 2006.
Mr Obare is said to have committed the offence on 30th July 2020 at Bokinami village, Getai Sub location Rigena location, Nyamache Sub county.

The victim whose identity has  been hidden deliberately because of her age is a Form One student.

The girl’s mother (name hidden to protect the minor), said that the accused person lured her daughter with Ksh 1000.
Mr Obare denied the charges before Ogembo Principal Magistrate Gloria  Nasmiyu  Barasa.

He was released on a cash bail of 150, 000 or a bond of Ksh 100,000 with similar amount of surety.
The case will be mentioned on 28th August, 2020.
