Shock as Shabana FC’s defender Evans Obutu Omoke is dead.

The management of Shabana Fc , Players and the Fans are with deep sorrow after losing one of the players on Monday night .

According to the later Evans ‘s brother Jasper Marube , he said that his late brother’s condition worsened on Sunday and he was rushed to Nyangena where he was booked for an operation unfortunately he passed on Monday night immediately after the operation.

According to the reports the 33-year-old player who was on loan from Posta Rangers succumbed to a stomach injury he sustained during a friendly match in the region on Friday.

The late was featuring for a local team, Town Warriors FC from Kisii Town which was playing against Patarion FC of Nyamira in a friendly match.

The match that was being played at Gesure primary in Nyamira was abandoned at the 40th min after the player collided with the opponent’s goalkeeper and sustained a serious stomach injury.

Immediatley he was was rushed to Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital (KTRH) but he was not attended to since doctors are on strike after which he was referred to Nyangena hospital,a private health facility the same day where he was  treated and discharged.

His elder brother  Jasper Marube Obutu said that according the Doctors report the player died of intestine complications caused by the injury.

The club’s head coach Vincent Nyaberi said he was disciplined saying they will miss his services at the back right.
