Gusii leader have been called to shun divisive politics by joining hand and work together for the prosperity of Gusii region.
Addressing the press on Friday at Kenya national Congress party offices In Kisii after meeting with KNC Delegates From Nyaribari Masaba , Party Leader Manson Oyongo Nyamweya said that its time for political leaders to listen residents voices and address challenges facing them.
According to Manson there is high level of poverty rates in Gusii region and farmers are facing major problem more so in Tea sector which needs a local address through leaders coming together.
“It’s high time for leaders to listen to the voices of residents which needs a local address without waiting for outsiders to address them”
Mr. Manson who contested for Kisii county Gubernatorial seat in the last General election noted that it’s time for the community to put their house in order,adding that KNC party has started to spearhead the unity.
“Today we have hosted Nyaribari Masaba delegates , we have agreed that we are going to move all over Kisii county to campaign for unity before going go other regions” Said Manson
“Local Problems need local solutions, the notion that outsiders will lead us to prosperity is hoax, when we are united our voices will be heard” he added
The party leader also noted that it’s time for others to reach them not as additional number but as partners, and not when they need them for their basket to be full.
About Omogusii Unity he noted that Former Nyaribari Chache Member of Parliament Mzee Simeon Nyachae tried to unite the Community before retired from active politics.
“Am proud that Mzee Nyachae did well when he was in active politics, it’s time to emulate him and put our house in order” he added
On Tea farmers he said that its time for KTDA to listen to the voices of their Employee who are farmers .
“KTDA has failed farmers for many years more so in Gusii region when farmers get low payment unlike other regions, let them listen to the farmers who actual I believe will carry the day“
