BBI will solve Kenyans problems Raila says as Leaders condemn Ruto’s early campaigns.

Kisii 09 October 2020………Orange Democratic Movement party leader Raila Odinga has urged Kenyans to support the Building Bridges Initiative, saying it will help boost people’s lives, particularly youth and women. 

Raila who was speaking at Igare in Bobasi constituency for the burial of journalist Dennis Onsarigo’s father, said that BBI report is meant to help to solve many challenges facing the country.

The former Prime minister Noted that even the two gender rule will be address through the report and the counties will receive a lot of money which will help people at the grassroots.

According to Raila they sat with the president where they shared a lot on how they need to bring the country together from injustice which has been facing the country for decades like Corruption , lack of Jobs and chaos which break after general election.

“We sat we President Uhuru Kenyattaa, we discussed on how we can bring our country together, Problems facing our country through the introduction of BBI , since the challenges facing our country cant be address through wheelbarrows, ” Said Raila.

Council of Governor Wycliffe Oparanya said that western region has been royal to Raila Odinga and they will continue supporting .

He also said that Governors for the last three months have been facing financial challenges but now they are at positions of receiving the money after , the President Uhuru Kenyatta signed the 2020/2021 County Revenue Allocation Bill into law, paving the way for disbursement of funds from Treasury to the counties for signed the bill of allowing the money to go the counties.

At the same time Oparanya also warned those who have started early campaigns to stop and give them enough time more so governors who are serving their last time in office to deliver promises they made to electorates and leave the mark.

“This is the time especially those who are serving their second term needs to do development , I request William Ruto to give us time so that we can be able to deliver, this early campaigns will not help us.” he said

Other leaders accompanied Raila odinga include Taita Taveta Governor Granton Samboja , Siaya Senator James Orengo , Suna East Member Of parliament Junet Mohamed, Kisii county women Representative Janet Ongera ,Kisii Governor James Ongwae, BObasi Mp Innocent Obiria among others,

Siaya Senator James Orengo called Ruto to put his problems with Matiagi in the cabinet rather than accusing him during rallies adding Ruto should be aware that all enforcement measures which has been initiated he was among those who passed them in parliament.

Suna East Member Of parliament Junet Mohamed, called upon Gusii community to reject Ruto’s offer of donating wheelbarrows to youths terming is as disrespectful to the community who most of its people owns Matatu.
