Kisii 08 November 2020 ……….. Religious leaders have been called to act proactively in the fight against Covid 19 disease which has affect the economy globally .

According to Kisii University Vice chancellor Professor John Akama this is the time religions leaders need to practice in the campaign against the pandemic.

Professor who was speaking at Anglican Church Kisii diocese during the launch of the Book [Surprised by God] by Bishop John Omangi , said that Bishop Omangi being the chairperson of Kisii Interfaith has done a lot in sensitizing residents about the disease, an act other leaders ends to emulate.

Professor wondered that some People are not taking health Protocols as the country is facing second wave of the disease.

“Its worrying when you find people are ignoring to observe health protocol set in the fight against the disease, others claims that the disease only affects the whites while others accuse the government that its using the pandemic to steal from Kenyans something which is not true” stated Akama

Therefore Akama has called upon residents to know that Covid 19 is real .

” Covid 19 is real killing people let us observe the protocols and continue sensitizing people over the same, it affects everybody” noted Professor
