Daily crackdowns to ensure compliance to Covid 19 guidelines Says Commissioner.

Kisii 24 November 2020. As One way of curbing the spread of Covid 19 which has been in a rise , Kisii residents and Business people have been warned against breaking health Protocols set by the ministry of health.

This comes as government officers have closed 7 drinking joints in Kisii after it was realized that they were not following health protocols as more than 150 People have been arrested across the county in the last two weeks by the Police over the same.

According to Kisii county commissioner Abdirasack Jaldesa those who were arrested for failure to wear mask have been prosecuted while others are out on police cash bail as he warns residents for not ignoring the health protocols, vowing that the enforcement of the health guidelines will continue in weeks to come.

” I call upon the residents , Business people to know to take personal responsibility of wearing mask , observing social distance since its the good way to go in fighting the disease,” He said

About Matatu sector the commissioner noted that Matutus found carrying excess people are facing revocation of licenses .  

Kisii has already been flagged as hotbed of the disease infections. 
by Saturday it had registered more than 760 of the viral infections. 
At least 34 patients among them a clinical officer have since died of the virus.
