Boost to Kisii KTRH as they receive PPEs from Equity Group Foundation.

Kenya COVID-19 Fund Board in partnership with Equity Group Foundation has vowed to continue supporting counties in the fight against Covid 19 .

Addressing the Press on Thursday at Kisii teaching and Referral hospital Equity Bank foundation through its chair Ambassador Erastus Mwencha, he said that they are committed to ensure that they keep supporting the counties more so Hospitals to have PPEs and other sorted Items to boost the fight against Covid 19 pandemic.

Ambassador Mwencha noted that Equity Bank group has been on the forefront in supporting counties during this difficult period more so supporting health workers .

He added that in the first phase they were able to distribute PPEs to the tune a value of 260 million shillings to 68 public hospitals and 11 universities and now in phase two they have set aside 130 Million shillings from the 1.1 Billion Million the Foundation set aside in the aid of the fight against Covid 19.

Therefore Kisii county Referral hospital was able to receive , more than 6000 surgical masks ,1000 face shields, 25 pairs of Boots, among other items which he said it was just a token as they plan to give out more.

In his part Governor James Ongwae he sincerely thanked the Equity Bank foundation through its chair Ambassador Erastus Mwencha for the donations of PPEs and other assorted items to boost the fight against COVID-19.

” As we receive this donation we remain forever grateful to the group. This rekindles memories of the first donation months ago through the Equity Bank Group Chief Commercial Officer Polycarp Igathe.Once more, I urge all of us to observe the guidelines as provided by the Ministry of Health” Said Ongwae
