Kisii 29 Dec 2020………. Some clergy in Kisii have stressed on the urgent need to assist the needy in society celebrate Christmas and new year irrespective of their social status

Bishops Peter Morwabe of Gospel Embassy Chapel and Charles Isaboke from  Anointed Faith  Mission churches also singled out the orphans and the vulnerable who were hard hit by Covid19 effects. 

The people of the cloth appealed to well wishers and the government  to play the role of father cum mother figure to the poor.

Bishop Morwabe   spoke  in Kisii town  during donation of foodstuffs to orphaned children at Jogoo children’s home as  Isaboke petitioned the national government to foot the bill of covid19 vaccine. 

According to Morwabe, the church  which was also not spared by the pandemic ,had a duty to support the needy and pray for them because they will always be there in society urging other churches to emulate the gesture.

 Gospel Embassy Chapel church assisted  children’s homes regularly besides  the end of year festivities.

Bishop Isaboke observed the vaccine against coronavirus was beyond the reach ordinary citizens following its effects on their livelihoods  and petitioned the national government to procure and administer it free of charge.
