There is need of ensuring all students gets back to school says PS as she visits Set Green Academy.

Kisii 11 January 2021 …………...It has emerged that still there is some students who have not reported back mostly to Public school after reopening from long holiday following Covid 19 pandemic.

Addressing the press on Monday at Set green hill academy mixed and Boarding school in Kisii county , Health principal Susan Mochache noted that after doing inspection in school , some students have not returned back to school even when the government has announced that all students should be at school by now.

Ps Mochache said that although the students have not reported back they government has set measures of ensuring that all those who have not reported are back to schools include using chiefs to trace them .

She encouraged students who might have faced various challenges during the long holiday to return to school more so girl child.

” We have deliberated with school heads , security agencies to ensure that all students are back to school even id one was married or she is pregnant”

” We have been doing inspection on our schools to see how far they have done in compliance with health protocols, From the morning we have been able to go to five schools, set green being the first Private schools we have visited” said Mochache.

According to her shes added that from the school they have visited since they started they inspection they have found that school have prepared well even some has Covid 19 response team , water points, all students have face masks while trying to maintain social distance.

She added that Privates schools are doing well compared to Public schools in terms of social distancing .

The Ps also hailed Set Green hill academy for implementing the health protocols as set by the ministry of Health.

Mochache was accompanied by colleagues- Prof. Collette Suda, Gender, Kevit Desai, East African Community, County Director of Education, Pius Ngo’ma Kisii county Education CECM Amos Andama.
