Nyamira county 30 January 2021……………………Nyamira residents have been asked to identify and give information about orphans to benefit from the Nyamira county women rep initiative after it has been realized that they are mostly affected in the society more so when the country records highest number of early pregnancy cases.
Addressing residents on Friday in various schools across the county when she was issuing Water Tanks, Nyamira Women Representative Jerusha Momanyi said that she has already paid some school fees to more than 700 Total orphan across the county.
“Already i have identified more than 700 orphans who I have paid school fees ,let us continue identifying them so that we can empower them through educating them ,”she said
Jerusha also called upon the security agencies more so chiefs to make sure that perpetrates are known in the villages who want to cut short girl children’s Education.
” I call upon Chiefs to ensure that they know whom we are staying with in our villages since we can get that we are living with thieves and those who are impregnating our young children ” she said
The county Mp also noted that they have set measures as the Government to ensure that all school going girls receive sanitary towels.
She also issued a Tent to Karantini Self help group and motorcycle to one of the family which has got disabled children.

Among the schools she visited include Karantini SDA primary School in Gesima ward , Nyatieko DOK, Kegogi among others.
