Shabana Fc thrashes Muranga Seal to maintain its 5 games unbeaten.

Kisii county 31st January 2021………….Composed Shabana Fc on Sunday came from one goal down to thrash visiting Muranga seal 3: 1 in the National Super League (NSL) match staged at Gusii stadium.

The visitors had scored their only goal in the first half  in the 7th minute from Kiplagant John but later Shabana was awarded a penalty in the 43 minute in which Kevin omindi scored making to equalize .

However, Shabana reorganized themselves in second half and managed to score another two goals through Byran Migiro and another goal from Enock Momanyi, goals that triggered the two sides to search for scoring opportunities turning the game to be more intense in search of three points .

Shabana were to maintain its 5 games unbeaten .

The win has since shed light to the home fans who are longing for promotion to Premier League(PL) since the Kisii side was relegated from the top league in 2016.

Speaking after the match shabana head coach Joseph Ongoro attributed the results to his hardworking players adding that he always thankful to God for the far he has brought the team since he joined as the head coach.

“We have been doing good but i would like to thank our God for being with us, i also thank my players for remaining focused even when we were one goal down,” he said.

Ongoro said that now the team is well composed with young talented focused boys who have shown their talents in the games.

In another side Muranga’s assistant Coach Kennedy otieno blamed the referees in charge of their match a saying he was biased towards their hosts.

“Truth be told, officiating is very poor. This trend is going to really slow down our football growth significantly if it is not tamed. Let fairness prevail, let’s grow the sport on the cardinal principle of fairness,” said Otieno

In their next match Shabana will play against silibwet on February 2021
