Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has Said that he is not pushing for BBI to ascend to the presidency but Kenyans will make a decision to elect a president of their choice.

Raila who was speaking on Friday at Kisii during the funeral service for former Bonchari MP Oroo Oiyoka defended his handshake with President Uhuru Kenyataa by saying that it was meant to address a myriad of challenges facing the country.

At the same time he hailed County assemblies for passing BBI bills after Kisii and Nyamira counties followed suit as he urged Members of National assembly to take the mantle .

” The BBI is meant to Benefit Kenyans not an Individual , we are not Pushing BBI to ascend to the presidency” stated Raila .

This comes as BBI secretariat on Wednesday announced it will officially start campaigns to popularize the initiative next week.
