Nyamira Kenya 08 March 2021.……………… As the world celebrated International Women Day, Stakeholders have been challenged to also put more effort in remembering to empower the boy child who has seen to be forgotten .
According to Assistant County commissioner Gesima, David Njoroge who was speaking during the launch of Sanitary towels occasioned by Nyamira women Rep at Rigoma Girls High school , he noted that boy child is under siege who needs to be empowered.
“Its my humble request to the office of the Women reps to come up with programs which will empower the Boy child because at the end of the day the boy child is more endangered” adding that during President Moi’s era more girls school were opened making girls to be empowered and promoted resulting to the fruits they are enjoying
Mr Njoroge noted that the Ministry of Interior and that of the Education has ensured that their is smooth learning activities in schools across the county since students resumed from long holiday due to COVID 19 pandemic.
” We have been holding multi agency meetings to ensure that all students get back to schools, we have been working closely with the headteachers , principals to ensure that all are is school from long holiday which made some of them to enter into Bodaboda sector and Brick making but we are happy that all have reported back to school” Noted ACC Njoroge.
The ACC called upon Parents to ensure that those students who have Qualified to join Technical training institute to do so.
“ We have a TVET in our sub county with shortage of Students , I would call parents , Principals to encourage those who have finished form 4 with the required Marks to join ” He said
