Embrace Covid 19 protocols ,third wave is more worse residents told.

Kisii Kenya 20 March 2021……… Kisii County governor, James Ongwae has directed health workers in public health facilities to trace bodies from morgues to ensure they are interred within seventh two hours to comply with President Uhuru Kenyatta’s directive to fight Covid 19 pandemic.

The governor urged the workers to liaise with chiefs and security officers to also ensure that hundred mourners attend the funerals and embrace the Covid 19 protocols of wearing masks, washing hands, sanitizing and keeping social distance.

” We are going to be stick and will not spare anybody, we must enforce all the measures that have been issued by the the ministry of health and other protocols

Speaking to the Press in Kisii on Friday during a briefing by Kisii County Covid 19 intergovernmental Committee he co-chairs with County Commissioner, Allan Macharia, he also urged religious leaders, politicians and bar operators to embrace the directives to avoid conflicts with law enforcers.

Ongwea noted that the County has 310 isolation beds, an oxygen Plant, fifteen ventilators and fifteen Intensive Care Unit ( ICU) beds to help Covid 19 victims, adding the county had tested ten thousand people, 1,050 tested positive and thirty three had succumbed to the pandemic.

CC Macharia said the county enforcement and security officers will enforce the president’s executive order, stressing those who flouted the directives will be arrested regardless of their political or social status.

“The county and security officers will spare no effort to ensure the order is  implemented and only providers of essential services will be spared” the County Commissioner said calling residents to adhere to Covid 19 protocols .
