Nyamira Kenya 31 March 2021…………Mystery shrouds disappearance of a form one student from  Nyaisa Manga SDA  secondary school, for the last three months.

When schools closed for the long holidays, Kevin Mirambo Machuki, aged 16  neither left  school with other students  nor  received at  home by his parents.

After schools re-opened on January 4 2021, the student reported but was soon  released by the school administration to go home for a’ funeral’, never to be seen again.

Intriguingly, Kevin’s mother came to the school  on mid February and paid his fees balance of sh. 4,000 without being informed that her son was not in the learning institution.

Speaking at his home in Ogango sublocation, the father Zablon Machuki, was shocked  that his son’s personal effects were still in school yet the teachers could not inform him that  they had officially  released his son to be away.

According to Machuki, his son was obedient and had never been sent away from school on disciplinary grounds.

The student’s sister Anne Nyakundi, wanted  the school’s  principal to explain why he could not act on his brother’s long absence from school at a time the government  ordered that all children  must attend lessons.

But responding out of camera, the principal Tobias Omolo claimed the  student’s telephone contact he gave for his parents could not go through.

Moreover, there were many  students who were not in school with some resurfacing to sit for the examinations he added.

Omolo could not explain how why he  released  the  student to go attend the alleged  funeral in the absence of a parent or guardian.

Meanwhile the students parents have reported the matter at Manga police station.
