Joy to quintuplets family,County promises to wave out hospital bills.

KISII KENYA 17 April 2021……………A needy woman ,23, who gave birth to quintuplets at Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital (KTRH) on Friday did not hide her joy after the county Government of Kisii announces to wave hospital bills for the period she will be admitted at the facility.

Making the announcement on Saturday when she visited the mother at the hospital the county’s first lady Ms Elizabeth Ongwae representing Kisii county Governor , she applaud the medics who attended to the mother , pledging to pat NHIF bills for the family for two years .

During the vist first lady donated baby shawls and other items alongside promising to support the family until when they will be discharged.  

The mother a resident of Etangi village in Bobaracho, Nyaribari Chache constituency   is recuperating at the postnatal ward while the babies are doing well at the New Born Unit (NBU), according to the Nursing Manager Ms Eunice Nyorera.

“The first child weighed 1.5, the second 1.2, the third and forth 1.5 while the fifth weighed 1.1 kilograms,” she said. The babies are closely observed at the NBU since they were born before the due date.

According to her, the newborns will remain in the hospital until they all have a minimum weight of 2kg.

However, Ms Nyanchera had expected to give birth to quadruplets but birthed quintuplets. She had a Caesarean section, and while the doctor was delivering the babies, he felt a fifth baby.Th

The husband to Nyanchera, Mr Nyaoko appealed to well-wishers for financial support since they are financially unstable but God’s blessing will not the denied.

We are financially challenged but God has blessed us with this high number of children. I request the government, leaders and well-wishers to come to our aid so that we cater for them.” Mr Nyaoko appealed

This is the first Case in entire Kisii county .
