Mps applaud Court Decision for nullifying BBI Amendment Process

Kisii Kenya 14 May 2021………..A section of Members of Parliament who have been against the BBI report have lauded the move of court nullifying BBI amendment process.

Addressing the press at Kisii County on Friday Kandara Mp Alice Wahome and South Mugirango Mp Silvanus Osoro said that they knew that BBI process was unconstitutional and that’s why they have been telling Kenyans for its rejection .

The Legislature said that the judges did a recommendable job and have made the public happy .

” I want to commend and celebrate the Judiciary for deciding to stand with Kenyans, I want to tell them that they have redeemed Kenya from the circles of dictatorship , as the members of parliament we have been intimidated and our positions in committees were taken for not standing with this unconstitutional amendments ” she said

The MP also said that he is happy that the court realized that there was many loopholes in the whole process which lacked the lacked legal framework that was going to handle the process.

She said that president Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM Party Leader used public money illegally without legal framework that helps them to draw money from public adding that the president is indulgent by Court to have breached integrity and leadership provisions test of the chapter 6 of the constitution of Kenya which is possible to impeach him with this pronouncement.

“President should be number one to defend and protect the Constitution,”she said.

South Mugirango Mp Sylvanus Osoro said that every person was happy since some where vindicated for opposing the process leading them to suffer from committees in the national assembly .

Osoro wondered is it that the Attorney General failed to advise the president or its the president who ignored to listen to legal advised .

“The law can only be changed through popular initiative and parliamentary initiative,”Osoro said.

The five judges who nullified the BBI process were Joel Ngugi, George Odunga, Jairus Ngaah, Teresia Matheka and Chacha Mwita .
