Speed up investigation family appeals.

Kisii Kenya 5th July, 2021…….Afamily from Nyamokenye village Kenyenya sub county ,Bomachoge Borabu have called for speedy investigation following the death of family member .

According to the family members they have petitioned the Police to do the investigations and brought to book the suspects who allegedly killed Peter Miruka when he was trading his tea at one of the buying centre.

The family was speaking to Gusii star when directors from Eberege and Ogembo visited to condole with the family who also condemned the act.


Peter Miruka was allegedly killed on Friday last week when he went to trade his tea leaves at a buying center when the two clerks who were at his service exchanged words and allegedly hit him with weighing machine. Ok

” At around 1:00pm he went to trade tea at a buying center and after some minutes we had people screaming from the tea buying center and on arrival we found Miruka has died after he was hit by a weighing machine” a family member told the Gusii star


“My father had an argument with the center employees who did not want him to sell his tea leaves while questioning them they picked a weighing machine hit him of the backhead killing him instantly, “said his Son.


The two KTDA employees have since then gone into hiding after committing the alleged murder.


KTDA regional manager for six zones in Gucha, Nyagetari Mangera condemned the incident and asked for speedy investigation into this matter by calling workers to respect the famers.


“We have laws governing every sector and we have procedures when solving a problem but killing a person is the worst thing to do,”said Magera.


Ogembo tea Factory director Omwanza Omweno asked the factory and tea buying centers to respect farmers and give services professionally.


“We ask workers to follow the right channel when solving a problem, let them notify the management and from there we can have amicable solution.
