Mp calls for the Disbandment of NYS

Nyamira County Member of Parliament Jerusha Momanyi has urged the government to disband the national youth service (NYS) over mismanagement of funds and corruption.

She said the NYS has since lost meaning and instead has been turned into a way of few individuals enriching themselves in a fraudulent manner.

Police on the spot over harassment of bodaboda riders.

Bodaboda riders from Keroka town want the Independent Police Oversighting Authority (IPOA) to take up a case where one of them was allegedly brutalized by policemen.
According to the Nyamira County Bodaboda riders association Bernard Orindo and his Masaba Counterpart Dominic Babu, Dancan Ombaye was beaten and grievously harmed by three Administration Policemen who had forced him to carry them from Keroka Town to their work station at Tondori, where Sub county offices are situated.
The rider is said to have lost control of the motorcycle on a steep road and toppled over, making them fall due to their weight.

Schock in Nyamira county as Woman body found by roadside

Residents of Nyagwa village, Township ward in Nyamira county on Saturday woke up to a schock after they found a body of a middle aged woman dumped along the roaday.

It is believed that the deceased might have been killed elsewhere and her body dumped at the roadside.

According to Nyamira Township  location assistant Chief, Johnson Manyara, the body was discovered by passers-by who were headed to church.
